Anna is very inquisitive. Today, she held a small children's book in front of me."What house is this?" she asked.
I looked at the cover of the book. There were pictures of animals on the cover. "I don't see any house," I said.
"What house is this?" Anna demanded again. She seemed frustrated. She doesn't like it when we don't understand her.
"There is no house," I flipped the book over. There was only text on the back.
"No! What house is this!" Anna screamed. Then I looked at her little thumbs. They were obscuring a tiny black and white print at the base of the back cover. It was indeed a little house.
"It's a Random House," I told her.
"Ah," she squeaked with joy. "A Random House!" And Anna said it, as if she had always known what Random House was.
